Saving the Sea Turtle

From 2015 – 2017, I worked with my friends Kevin De Lang and Elizabeth Flores, who is a biologist associated with EcoPlan AC, an environmental protection organization focusing on wildlife and conservation. As the webmaster, I shared their work efforts online to save the Sea Turtles at Pozo de Cota / Margaritas Beach in Mexico.

After two years of successful rescues, the project ended and the website is no longer available, but I did find this video that was created by the group. The audio was in bad shape so I re-edited it and added captions and a background soundtrack. I’m posting it here as a record of the amazing work they performed. Thank you Liz, Keven and the other volunteers and benefactors who donated. Many turtles and other creatures were rescued and given a chance by their effort and hard work.

These are various photos of the construction of the turtle nest corral. Included are the volunteers, nest markers and the arrival of turtles and release of some baby turtles.
