Don the Donut Maker

This black and white photograph of me was taken by my friend Chris around 1973. We worked at Dave’s Donut Wheel. It was an all evening shift and we “Flipped” thousands of donuts every night over hot fryers bubbling with scalding lard for local schools and IBM cafeterias. They were delicious! It was the end of the shift and I was cleaning up when this picture was taken.

After processing it through Photoshop and a bit of touch-up, I colorized the photo.

Finally, I used AI to generate this video. It’s pretty amazing.
